The Home Study came in the Mail

Rick went out to check the mail and there was our home study and a letter from our agency that we need to send with our I-800A.  So guess what I will be doing at lunch on Monday...going to the bank (yes they want money) and post office.

It may take 2-4 weeks for our approval.  I hope I have it filled out correctly and everything needed in there.

Here's were we are in the adoption process. We have gathered most of our paper work needed for our dossier (which is the file going to China to tell them who we are). The documents include an application letter, birth, marriage, and divorce certificates, employment verification letters, physical examinations, police clearance letters, reference letters, family photos, and our home study.

We have a lot of hurry up and wait going on. I hurry up to do as much as I can and then wait on the people doing the next step for us.

Right now we are waiting on our home study to come in the mail (we should receive 5 original copies) so I can apply for our I-800A. This is our application to adopt a child from another country. I need to take a few more family photos. Most pictures we have don't have me and Rick in them. Well, you know, when we look half way decent and aren't in our work clothes.

Thanks to our friends and family who lied on our references letters saying we are great parents and are totally normal and are able to care for another child. I LOVE YOU!!!!

Tap Tap Tap

Rick and I were praying for a couple that was considering adoption. I then began to pray for people to adopt the little children needing families (specificly for the children in China). I felt the tap at my shoulder. It was God saying excuse me, but why are you not adopting again? So here we go...
