Received I-800A Approval

We received our I-800A approval today!!!  I am very excited and glad it came so quickly.  Next...to Atlanta for state approval on most of our documents.  Then...Fed Ex to Tx.

Sophie went back to school today.  She had a great week off and enjoyed staying home with her Daddy.

We are Approved

I called and spoke to our officer today and we were approved for our I-800A.  It will be mailed out on Friday, so we should receive it next week.

Next step...take documents to Atlanta to get certified at the state level.

Quick Update

I called USCIS today and checked to see if we had a caseworker (not sure if that is what they are called) yet.  We do and I asked when we should know something about our application/fingerprints.  She said before the holidays (I wasn't sure if she meant Thanksgiving or Christmas).  She said I could call back on Wednesday.  I sure will!

Fingerprints Done

We got our fingerprints done this morning.  Once we get the approval (which will come in the mail), I will take it and most of our documents to Atlanta for the certification of the notary to be certified by the state.  One more step done!

Fall Time Fun

Sophie has been wanting to rake leaves into a big pile and jump in them. Today was her day to do just that.

This is her attempt at making a leaf angel. She just sunk down deeper into the leaves.

Fingerprinting Appointment

Our appointment for fingerprinting has been scheduled for Nov 16th.  We could go in early and get fingerprinted but Rick is off on the 16th so we will go in that day and have them done.
