I800 Approval

We received our I800 approval today.  The approval is dated 4-18.  I am trying to figure out when we may travel.  Maybe in 9 weeks??? Of course it all depends on how fast or slow the next steps take.

We are ready to get our son and bring him home!

Another note...tomorrow is Skate Night for Sophie's school.  She just has to get her stamp tomorrow at school to be able to go.  Sophie doesn't know how to skate so this should be interesting.  It's been so long since I have skated, I hope we don't break anything.  There are other things to do there too, there is a playground and laser tag. 

Gymnastics Evaluation

Sophie had an evaluation for gymnastics today.  They were checking to see if the girls her age and class level were in the appropriate class or if they need to be moved up for summer classes. 

I noticed when she was on the balance beam she started to walk across it on her tip toes (like the other girls) and the coach motioned for her to go back (I was watching from the lobby through the window).  She then started kicking her leg straight out with beautifully pointed toes and walked across doing that.  She then turn and headed back, jumping up and pulling her knees up and landed back on the beam several times.  She did very well, of course that is Momma's opinion.

Maybe we will get a call, an email, or they will let me know what group she should be in for the summer classes when she goes to class this Wednesday.

The Decision has Been Made

We decided on our son's name, Sawyer Yin Lin.

His big sister said that he is so cute, she could eat him up.

 

Daddy's ready to go get him!  We all are!

 

It's still hard to know when we will travel.  I have been told 2-2 1/2 months.  So, I think it will be mid June.  Sophie's Gotcha day is June 11 and we think that would be neat to be in China at that time.

 

We are very excited about our trip for so many reasons.  Sawyer Yin Lin will have his very own Mommy, Daddy, and Sister.  He will have Grandparents, Great Grandma's, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins galore.  He will be an orphan no more!  Our daughter is going to be able to see her birth country.  Katie, our niece (from Rick's side of the family), will be traveling with us.

Visa's

We have sent our passports and Visa applications to our agency to have ready to apply for our Visa's.  I believe we can apply as soon as we get our I800 approval.  We also sent them the form for Sawyer's Visa (DS-230).

I800 Finally in the Mail!

It has been a crazy couple of weeks for me.  Work had been extremely busy and I have been working a ton.  When I have gotten home I have been pooped and didn't get the I800 application filled out until Sunday.  Rick went to the post office and got it in the mail.

It may take 1-2 weeks to get the approval.
