I stayed up way to late night and tried to fix up our blog. Rick couldn't believe I stayed up until 2 am (I can't either) but I was figuring out how to do things and I thought if I stopped, I wouldn't remember how to do it the next day.
If you notice at the top of the blog it shows how long we have been waiting for Bubba. Now Bubba is not our son's real name. It is the name we are calling him because we do not know his name yet. Not his Chinese name but the name we would like to give him.
It took us a while to agree on Sophie's name and it was the only name we did agree on. It fits her perfect too.
We went out to lunch yesterday to celebrate my dad and brother's birthdays. We played the name game...everyone was throwing out the names they liked and even names they didn't like to see how we responded. We are now no closer to finding the perfect name for our son.
I emailed X with our agency and asked how we would be matched. Would it be the agency (her) or the Chinese government? She said that she would match us by finding files for us to review. This may take 3 months. I also asked, how long would it be before we traveled. She said that it would probably 5 months after being matched. I was hoping that we would travel this summer, so Sophie would not miss to much school.
We are taking Sophie with us to China so she can see her birth country, learn about the culture, and just soak it all in. She has a pretty good memory and I think she will remember it forever.
