Article 5

I just received an email from the Adopted Children's Immigrant Visa Unit at the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou, China.  Our Article 5 is ready to be picked up and taken to the China Center for Children's Welfare and Adoption.  Once this is delivered, we begin waiting for our Travel Approval.  The wait can be anywhere from 2-4 weeks.  Recently people have been waiting for 2 weeks.

After Travel Approval, our agency will request an appointment for our immigrant visa appointment at the Consulate.  Then our flights can be scheduled.

Sophie told me told on the way home she wants to get Sawyer and hold him.  Some times she ask about things that she wants to do with him but she makes it sound like I'm not going to have to...get up with him at night when he cries, play with him when I am playing with my friends, be in the same room with him at daycare, hold his hand...  It is really neat to see how excited she is about becoming a big sister and hard to believe she didn't want a brother but a sister when we started this process.

We are excited about Sophie finishing up the school year.  3 more days of 2nd Grade.

I feel like I have so much to do.  I need to finish cleaning out the "Green Room"/office because it is going to be Sawyer's room.  Get some of my "piles of junk" filed or thrown out.  Finish counting and bagging up Box Tops for Sophie's school.  I know there is a lot more to do but that is top on my list.
